I joined Smash Attack Studios in August 2024 as Lead Developer. The studio, founded by Dean from Broken Roads and composed of several former Drop Bear Bytes colleagues, began as a small after-hours collaboration that grew into a more structured team.
In my role, I focused on introducing reliable development practices (code reviews, testing, project management, and release documentation) to help the team work more effectively across different experience levels. The balance between professional standards and a volunteer-driven environment shaped much of my leadership approach on this project.
Working with Dean highlighted his exceptional networking skills and grant acquisition capabilities. Our technical artist, Ryan, consistently delivered impressive UI work that elevated the game's visuals. I stepped away from Nullstar in July 2025 to dedicate more time to the Town of Salem project.
